| Recipe For Joy Psalm 119:59-63 REFLECT - Vs. 59a - I thought on my ways, Self-examination is key to being right with God. We must be honest about the condition of our hearts. REPENT - Vss. 59b-60 - … and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments. When we turn away from sin, we will confess it and receive forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 We will strive to be obedient to God's word. REMEMBER -Vs. 61 - The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law. In spite of the hardships that we face as we walk with God (Psalm 34:19, 1I Timothy 3:12). REJOICE - Vs. 62 - At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments. See Philippians 4:4 and Psalm 100. RECRUIT - Vs. 63 - I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. Recruit friends who are of like faith. |
