Abel, The Man Who Pleased God

Genesis 4:1-8

Pleasing God is the most important thing in the world. Abel shows us how to please God.

PROPER APPROACH TO GOD Vss. 2-4
1. He came in the righteousness of another.
He came bringing an offering from the flock.
We come in the righteousness of Christ. Corinthians 1:30

2. He came through a blood sacrifice.
We come through the shed blood of Christ. Hebrews 9:22, Romans 5:9

3. He came to God by faith. Hebrews 11:4
We come to God by faith. Hebrews 11:6, Romans 5:1

PERFECT ACCEPTANCE BY GOD Vs. 4
When we come to Christ by faith we are accepted by Him. Ephesians 1:6

PREDICTABLE ATTACK BY THE UNGODLY Vs. 8 John 15:18-25
