A Case For Separation

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1

We often quote 2 Corinthians 6:14 and apply the verse to marriage.
Although this is a healthy application, the believer needs to be separated
from the influence of the unsaved in any number of ways.

Here is Paul's case for living a life separated unto God.

INSISTENCE - "Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers." - Vs. 14a.

INQUIRY - 6:14b-16a
1. "What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?"
2. "What communion hath light with darkness?"
3. "What concord hath Christ with Belial (Probably means the devil.)?"
4. "What part hath he that believeth with an infidel?"
5. "What agreement hath the temple of God with idols?"

IDENTITY - "Ye are the temple of the living God..." 6:16b

INVITATION - "Come out from among them and be ye separate..." 6:17-18

INSTRUCTION - Because of the promises of Vss. 17-18, Paul instructs the
Corinthians, "...let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh
and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." 7:1
